In a shocking turn of events, Raghavendra Chalapathi has become the victim of a devious scheme. He was promised to receive an astounding Rs. 6 crore for a diamond worth Rs. 90 lakh that he owned. Instead, he was given a fake diamond and has been left with no other option but to file a police complaint.
The incident began when Chalapathi was introduced to a broker named Dilip by Kunal Bharat Mehta, who claimed that a party at the Panchratna Building on Grant Road was interested in purchasing the diamond. Dilip and Mehta's associate, Mohammed A. Abdul Jafar, accompanied Chalapathi to the building. After showing the diamond to Mehta, he handed it to an individual in an adjacent cabin. When they were done, Mehta sealed it in an envelope and returned it.
Little did they know that the envelope contained a completely different diamond. In an attempt to rectify the situation, they rushed back to Mehta's office, only to find that he had vanished without a trace. Efforts to contact him were fruitless, and Chalapathi was forced to report the incident to the DB Marg police station.
The police have since registered a First Information Report against Kunal Mehta, charging him under sections 420 and 465 of the Indian Penal Code. An investigation has been opened to bring him to justice. Hopefully, Chalapathi will soon be able to recover his diamond and receive the compensation he is due.
