Head to Baltimore now! Explore all the city has to offer.
After 12 years of being away, I was excited to finally Visit Baltimore and learn more about the city. With its rich history and culture, I knew that I had to take the chance and explore what Charm City had to offer. I was glad to be reassured of the great aspects of Baltimore by Al Hutchinson, president & CEO of Visit Baltimore. So, taking my very first ride on an Amtrak, I headed to explore the city.

The Southern hospitality of Baltimore was evident right away when we stayed at Hotel Revival, owned by Black people. I can't even begin to describe all the amazing places we visited and the experiences we had. But I must mention our visit to The Underground Railroad, where we viewed the latest permanent exhibition called ‘Freedom Seekers On The B&O Railroad’. Finally, my goal of visiting the locations of my favorite show ever, The Wire, was fulfilled when we took a guided tour through the ‘hood’ of Baltimore’s Marble Hill section.

I'm so glad I took the chance to visit Baltimore and explore its beauty, culture and history. The city was full of surprises that I'll never forget.

After 12 years of anticipation, I finally got the opportunity to visit Baltimore and experience its culture, hospitality, and rich history first-hand. I was elated to join the Visit Baltimore team in exploring the city and all its wonderful attributes, from its seafood to its art, and even The Wire-inspired neighborhoods. Staying at Hotel Revival, I was surrounded by Black ownership and enjoyed a tour of the Underground Railroad and its exhibition, “Freedom Seekers On The B&O Railroad.” The highlight of the trip was taking a guided tour of the Marble Hill section, which was the backdrop of my favorite television drama.
