GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry had a few choice words for journalist Michael Crick when he took aim at her employer. The former The Apprentice winner, 43, has been part of the broadcaster since 2021, hosting her own primetime show, Dewbs & Co, weekdays.
In a recent episode, the conversation between the two descended into a heated exchange when the topic of Ofcom came up. Michael declared, ‘Remember Ofcom are on your case,’ after Michelle challenged him for saying the British public were ‘regretting’ Brexit.
Clearly annoyed with Michael, Michelle replied, ‘You know what, good for Ofcom. We are regulated in the same way and there are a lot of people out there who have nothing better to do...You might be able to make these snide comments in other places, but you don’t make them on my watch I’m afraid.’
The back and forth between the two continued, debating Ofcom’s regulation of GB News. Michelle made it clear that she was not having it, saying, ‘I will be absolutely clear because I am not having this, and I am being told to move on…don’t be patronising to me Michael because I will kick you off my show…I will tell you that for free.’
Michael then fired back, ‘You are not an impartial presenter.’ It was at this point his fellow guest Alan Miller jumped in and accused Michael of ‘behaving like an adolescent’.
Michael then tried to joke that he would ‘take over’, but Michelle quickly shut him down. She said, ‘I know you think you are hilarious, but I am going to the break for no reason other than we’ve wasted our time when we could have been having a constructive and productive conversation about Brexit. Instead, we’ve been messing around talking about Ofcom.’
