According to sources, Dharanidhar suffered severe injuries when Purendra, who was driving the campaign vehicle, stabbed him in the stomach. The van was parked in front of Dharanidhar's garage at approximately 7 pm on Saturday. It is reported that an argument broke out between Dharanidhar and Purendra over the parking of the vehicle, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation. In the midst of the chaos, Purendra called for backup from the vehicle owner, Kailash, and his father.

During the fight, Purendra unexpectedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Dharanidhar. The locals quickly intervened, managing to restrain Purendra and causing damage to the van. The authorities were alerted and promptly arrived at the scene. Both Dharanidhar and Purendra were taken to the hospital for treatment. Kailash and his father were also apprehended from their home and taken in for questioning.

After thorough investigations, Kailash was arrested while his father was kept in custody for further questioning.
