Famous actor shares story of accident on highway not caught on camera during production of television program.
Mike Brewer, the host of Wheeler Dealers, and his co-host Marc 'Elvis' Priestley had a bit of a mishap while filming their new series. The two are returning to screens with a new season of the popular car restoration show, but they recently revealed that there was one incident that the cameras didn't catch.

Mike, who is 59 years old, shared the details of the car crash that occurred during filming, which was not captured on camera. He and Elvis, who is 47 years old, were on an epic six-month adventure around the world, visiting various countries in Europe, North America, and Australia.

According to Mike, the only time the cameras were not rolling was when Elvis accidentally drove through a motorway barrier. He clarified that it wasn't a James Bond-style stunt, but rather an accident where the barrier came down and Elvis drove right through it. "It was the most hilarious thing that ever happened, and we didn't have a camera on it. I'm so disappointed about that, it was really funny," Mike told The Sun.

The two have been hosting Discovery's Wheeler Dealers since 2003 and have been on air for 27 seasons. Their latest adventure around the world has brought them out of their comfort zone and, as Elvis says, "when you roll the cameras in those moments, you get entertainment." He also added that everything on the show is genuine and not acted or put on, which is what makes it so great.

However, this is not the only mishap that has occurred on the show. Last year, for the show's 20th anniversary, they managed to get their hands on a rare Ford Fiesta for restoration. But unfortunately, the car was stolen from the team hotel's car park after they had finished restoring it. The 1979 model, which cost £11,000 to restore, has never been recovered.

Mike also shared another incident, where they were in Paris getting drunk in a hotel room together. "He needed money, and I didn't, so I gave him a gig. People don't know any of this stuff. We got drunk together, hugged at the end of it. That was the last time I saw him," Mike said about his last meeting with former co-host Edd China.

Mike has been hosting Wheeler Dealers since the first episode aired in 2003, and Elvis joined the crew in 2020, replacing Mike's former co-host, Ant Anstead. Mike and Edd had a disagreement over the show's future, and Edd left in 2017. The new season, Wheeler Dealers World Tour, will be available on Discovery Channel and Discovery Plus every Monday at 9 pm starting April 29.
