Ex-NBA player Paul Pierce facing $30K monthly child support request.

A recent development in the ongoing legal battle between former NBA star Paul Pierce and a woman named Princess Santiago has taken an interesting turn. Santiago, who had previously filed a paternity claim against Pierce, is now seeking a significant amount of monthly child support, as well as custody and other financial compensation from him. According to reports from TMZ, Santiago, who works as an event director in Los Angeles, is claiming that Pierce is the father of her infant son and is asking for a whopping $30,000 per month in child support.

In addition to seeking sole legal and physical custody of the child, Santiago is also requesting reimbursement for her legal expenses, which have amounted to a staggering $100,000. She is also once again asking the court to order a DNA test to confirm paternity, a step she had taken earlier this year while she was still pregnant. According to court records, Santiago gave birth to her son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce, on February 6.

Apart from the monthly support, Santiago is also asking Pierce to cover half of the expenses she incurred during her pregnancy and childbirth, which she claims to be around $18,846. In her legal filings, Santiago has highlighted Pierce's successful career in the NBA and his substantial earnings. She mentions that during his almost twenty-year-long stint in the league, Pierce made an impressive amount of money, ranging from $195 million to $203 million, primarily through his salary and endorsements.

Santiago also points out that Pierce has publicly stated that he did not have to use his NBA salary to fund his lavish lifestyle and instead relied on his endorsement income for that. Pierce, who spent most of his career with the Boston Celtics before moving on to play for the Los Angeles Clippers in his final years, is one of the most recognizable names in the history of the league. With an illustrious career spanning almost two decades, he has made a name for himself as one of the best players in the game.

However, this legal battle with Santiago has put a spotlight on his personal life and financial history. Santiago, on the other hand, maintains that her actions are not driven by a desire for publicity or attention. In a statement released earlier, she stated that this is not about drama, but about getting what she believes is rightfully hers.

As the court continues to deliberate on her requests, including confirmation of paternity and decisions regarding custody and financial support, the case remains unresolved. It remains to be seen how this will all play out for both Pierce and Santiago, but it is clear that there is much at stake for both parties involved.
