Dominic West just gave us the wildest story we've ever heard! The Crown actor was a guest on The Graham Norton Show, where he revealed that his former 1700s house in Hoxton was haunted by a poltergeist.
Michelle Keegan was understandably taken aback, so Dominic explained why he bought the house in the first place. "I remember thinking, when you see a ruin like that you think it's lovely. But then you come along an ruin it," he said.
But Dominic's story didn't end there. He went on to explain that he tried to exorcise the house from the supernatural presence. "So I then looked into exorcising it. Anyway, it all worked out. It's still there. I didn't tell the guy who bought it off me. Hopefully he's not watching," he joked.
He went on to explain the process of exorcism to his fellow guests on the show. "It's a real thing. It's quite the process and you have to look into the history of the whole house and work out who might be the unsettled spirit. Then you go to the Catholic Church and the bishop has to approve everything, and there's a whole office in the Vatican that does all this."
But then Alan Carr piped up with his own creepy tale. The Chatty Man revealed that his house was haunted too, and that a bottle of wine had thrown itself off the wine rack. But that was nothing compared to his story about being outed by a Ouija board! Turns out Alan and his mother were using it when a spirit answered with the word 'HOMO!' Thankfully, his mother couldn't read - phew!
It's safe to say we won't be buying any 1700s houses in Hoxton anytime soon.
