Congress has chosen Kharge and Khera as their nominees for the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka.

In New Delhi, the Congress party made an important announcement on Thursday regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The party revealed a list of seven candidates, which included the renomination of their party chief, Mallikarjun Kharge from Karnataka. Along with Kharge, the party also put forward Pawan Khera, who is in charge of their media and publicity department, and Mansoor Ali Khan as candidates from Karnataka.

According to AICC general secretary, Organisation, K C Venugopal, Meenakshi Natarajan, a former MP, has been selected as the Congress candidate for the Rajya Sabha election in Madhya Pradesh. The party also chose Praveen Chakravarty, the head of their Data Analytics and Professionals Wing, as their candidate for the election in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, Neeraj Dangi has been renominated from Rajasthan, while Pranav Jha, who is currently working with the Congress president, has been nominated from Jharkhand.

Venugopal stated, "The Congress President, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, has given his approval for the candidature of the following individuals to contest the biennial/bye-elections to the Council of States from the mentioned states." These candidates have been carefully chosen by the party and their approval from Kharge shows that they have the full support of the Congress leadership. The Rajya Sabha elections are scheduled to take place on June 18, with the last date for filing nominations being June 8. This announcement by the Congress has sparked interest and speculation among the public, as these candidates will play a significant role in the upcoming Council of States.
