Netflix is bringing a thrilling new event to its platform - Beat Luke Littler. This young darts prodigy has been compared to the legendary Lionel Messi, and now, fans have the opportunity to challenge him for a whopping £501,000 prize. The event, aptly named Beat Luke Littler, will take place on October 30 and is open to amateur players aged 12 and above.

Twenty lucky participants will be chosen to go head-to-head with the world champion. In a video announcing the event, Littler confidently asks, "Reckon you could beat me in a game of darts? Let's go." The prize money of £501,000 is a nod to the standard 501-point format used in darts, where players aim to reach zero.

To earn a spot on the show, aspiring participants can apply and attend qualifying heats in London and Manchester in September. In the promotional clip, Littler reads out social media comments from fans who are convinced they have what it takes to beat him.

Applicants will be asked about their experience with darts and why they believe they can defeat the 19-year-old champion. Those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend an audition. To apply, simply visit BeatLukeLittler.com and fill out the application form.

The heats will take place in September in London and Manchester. These amateur players will be hoping to follow in Littler's footsteps, who made it to the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship final when he was only 16 years old. He has since become one of the best darts players in the world, winning titles such as the Premier League, the Grand Slam of Darts, and becoming the youngest-ever PDC world champion and world number one at the age of 17 in January 2025.

In a recent announcement, Netflix revealed that Littler had successfully defended his Betfred World Matchplay title against Gerwyn Price in Blackpool. He set a new record in the final with an average of 111.53 and an overall tournament average of 111.04, surpassing Phil Taylor's previous record of 106.31. Littler also broke his own record for most 180s in the World Matchplay, hitting 66 maximums throughout the tournament, with 12 in the final alone.
