CM Chouhan inaugurates Mahakal Lok Phase-2 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Ujjain: On Thursday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated multiple construction works worth over Rs 250 crore under the second phase of ‘Shri Mahakal Mahalok’ and dedicated the annakshetra here.
The Chief Minister was welcomed with a traditional Manipuri conch shell blowing ceremony. Following this, Swati Sen Ukhale and her group performed aarti of the CM and applied tilak on him. He was then welcomed in royal Maratha style by the Sawari Bhakta Mandal and greeted with drums by the Dhol-Tasha team from Nashik.
Amidst the cultural festivities, CM Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh interacted with the public. He also joined in the fun and played cymbals with the performing artists.
The inauguration ceremony included Neelkanth Forest, Neelkanth Marg Smart Road, murals depicting Ujjain’s history, Avantika Haat, vehicle parking in the Neelkanth complex, the Mahakal Control Room equipped with AI-based CCTV surveillance, and a newly constructed parking.
Attractive cultural performances by artists from different states of India were being showcased during the event. The Chief Minister personally visited many places and showed his appreciation of the artists. He paid homage to the huge statue of Lord Shiva in Neelkanth Van.
The students of the Government Girdhar Gopalji Govindji College (GGPGC) were also given the opportunity to gain experience in ‘Sanja’ preparation in Ujjain.
