His mother, Ann McCullough, is not happy with how host Ant McPartlin has been treating her son. Ann, who arrived in Australia this week to support her son, believes that Ant has been too hard on him.

Ann also addressed the incident between Dean and Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, saying that it was “hard to watch” and that Alan didn’t give Dean much time to wake up. She also shared that while Dean is a team player and loves everyone, he was clearly starstruck by fellow contestant Coleen Rooney.
The show’s hosts, Ant and Dec, have also noticed how often Dean has been chosen for the trials and have pleaded with viewers to start voting for other celebrities instead. “It’s good to see other faces down there,” Ant said on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, “This is not a personal thing.
