CBI has released a third charge sheet in the case of leaked NEET-UG exam paper.
In a recent development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted a third charge sheet to a special court in Patna regarding the alleged leak of the NEET-UG exam paper. This charge sheet names 21 individuals as accused, according to officials. The CBI has been investigating the matter and has found evidence that trunks containing the NEET-UG 2024 question papers were delivered to the Oasis School in Hazaribagh on the morning of May 5.

After the trunks arrived, the school's Principal Ahsanul Haque and Vice Principal Imtiaz Alam allegedly allowed Pankaj Kumar, the mastermind behind the leak, to access the control room where the trunks were stored. Both Haque and Alam have already been charged in the case. Kumar, a civil engineer from the National Institute of Technology in Jamshedpur, reportedly used sophisticated tools to open the trunks and access the question papers. The CBI has seized these tools and also obtained CCTV footage from the control room.

According to the CBI, on the morning of the examination, a group of seven MBBS students from AIIMS Patna, RIMS Ranchi, and a medical college in Bharatpur were able to solve the leaked paper at Hazaribagh. These students have since been arrested by the agency. It is alleged that the solved paper was then shared with other students who paid money to the accused. Most of the solvers have been identified and apprehended. The CBI spokesperson has stated that these students were specifically brought to Hazaribagh as part of the conspiracy.

The investigation has also revealed that there were other members of the gang who assisted Kumar in the leak. The CBI has made several arrests in this regard. These individuals provided accommodation for the candidates and facilitated their transportation. The agency is continuing its efforts to trace the candidates who accessed the solved question paper and appropriate actions are being taken. This is a serious matter and the CBI is committed to bringing all those involved to justice.
