   District principal and sessions court judge said, it is important to create awareness to stop child marriage. Giving information regarding the implementation of child marriage restraint act, 2006 and regulations, 2008, he said the crime will garner one to two years of imprisonment and fine up to one lakh. 

   District children welfare officer Mamtaz informed that 204 cases have been registered under POCSO act out of which 22 cases have been convicted. Advocate Divya also addressed the gathering. Second sessions in charge judge B G Rama, senior civil judge Vijayakumar, law enforcement authority’s member secretary Noorunnisa, JMFC judges and others were present.
