Cain is devastated in Emmerdale after another family member is diagnosed with cancer.

Oh no, not Monty! Poor Cain Dingle from Emmerdale has been dealt with a series of unfortunate events in 2026, and it seems like the bad news just keeps on coming. It's been a tough year for him so far, and things are about to get even more challenging.

It all started back in January when he received the news that a lump was discovered and needed to be tested for prostate cancer. Unfortunately, the test came back positive, and Cain had to undergo a crucial operation. After the surgery, Cain struggled to come to terms with not having full control over his body anymore.

He recently went back to the hospital for an update on his progress, only to be told that there is a high chance the cancer has spread. His surgeon informed him that he needed treatment and warned him that the side effects could potentially become permanent. The thought of dealing with incontinence and impotence was too much for Cain to bear, and he quickly made the decision to decline the radiotherapy.

In the upcoming episodes of the popular ITV soap, another member of the Wishing Well community is also diagnosed with cancer, which deeply affects Cain. This development makes him reflect on his decision to forego his treatment and think about his future. But before this news, there is a whole lot of drama happening at Home Farm.

Kyle Winchester, a resident of Wishing Well, discovers that Joe Tate was responsible for his mother's death. As tensions rise, Graham Foster shows up, trying to calm the situation. However, Kyle is overwhelmed and runs away.

Luckily, Cain and Moira spot him and are concerned about his well-being. When Cain confronts the Tates about their involvement, he unleashes his anger and warns them to stay away from Kyle. The next day, after another argument with his son, Cain notices smoke coming from the shed near Wishing Well.

He runs outside, only to find out that Kyle accidentally started a fire and Monty the dog is trapped inside. Cain saves Monty, and Paddy Kirk, the local vet, treats him. But the news is not good - Monty has cancer.

As the family processes this news, Cain takes Monty for a walk to think about what to do. He can't help but see the irony in how he wants to save Monty but won't do the same for himself. As Cain contemplates his options, what will he decide to do next?

Will he finally face his own battle with cancer, or will he continue to ignore it? Only time will tell.
