BJP plans to recruit 1 crore members in Odisha by starting a membership drive on September 1.
In an effort to expand its reach and strengthen its presence in Odisha, the ruling BJP has set a goal of enrolling one crore members in the party. This ambitious membership drive is set to begin on September 1st and will be accepting applications through both offline and online modes.

At a state-level workshop held in Bhubaneswar, attended by top leaders including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Mjahi, BJP state president Manmohan Samal announced the launch of this campaign. The focus of the workshop was to discuss the details of the enrollment process and renewal of existing members.

To ensure a successful drive, similar workshops will also be held at the district-level from August 22nd to 24th and at the block-level from August 26th to 28th. Additionally, booth-level workshops are scheduled to take place by August 31st, as informed by Samal.

"Our aim is to reach out to individuals who share the ideology of the BJP and encourage them to join our party," said Samal. He further added that the campaign will cover all 36 organizational districts in the state and target the 36,000 booths in Odisha.

The party workers will be responsible for approaching people and building relationships with them in order to promote the membership drive. The main goal of this campaign is to strengthen the party's presence at the grassroots level and recruit new members, as stated by Samal.

He also highlighted the importance of reaching out to people from all walks of life, including scheduled castes/tribes, women, youth, students, the poor, and the middle class. Special efforts will be made to engage with first-time voters and encourage them to join the party. Priority will also be given to individuals who have benefitted from government schemes, as well as those residing in slums, schools, colleges, and hostels.

The membership drive will not be limited to traditional methods, but will also include unconventional approaches such as conducting campaigns in malls, haat bazaars, railway stations, bus stands, and other public places. The general public will also be requested to give a missed call and attend small meetings, dramas, and other events to learn more about the party and its vision.

With a strong focus on building relationships and expanding its base, the BJP is determined to make this membership drive a success in Odisha.
