Bhopal to receive a 40-year development push, according to CM Mohan Yadav.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Bhopal graced the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center with his presence to lay the foundation stone for various development projects under the Amrit Yojana 2.0, with an estimated cost of Rs 582.32 crore. These projects, spearheaded by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, will encompass significant water supply initiatives and over 50 developmental works across different wards in the city.

During the ceremony, CM Yadav also took the opportunity to distribute appointment letters to 55 deserving individuals. Out of these, 31 were appointed on compassionate grounds, while the remaining 24 were recruited directly. In addition, sanitation workers were recognized and honored for their vital role in securing Bhopal's second position in the national cleanliness survey.

In his speech, CM Yadav shared his long-term vision for the city's growth, stating that the development projects are being planned with the next 40 years in mind. As part of this plan, 36 new water tanks, a 700-km water pipeline, and four intake wells and filtration plants will be established, directly benefiting around 30,000 households. The ultimate goal is to provide safe drinking water to all residents by 2040.

Highlighting the city's rich cultural heritage, Yadav also announced plans to develop Bhopal's Upper Lake, similar to the famous Dal Lake in Kashmir, in order to attract more international tourists. He also mentioned the introduction of Shikara rides as part of this project. The Chief Minister emphasized that a comprehensive blueprint has been prepared to secure Bhopal's future growth.

However, Yadav did not shy away from addressing the opposition party's accusations. He accused the Congress of misleading the people and stated that those who harbor corrupt intentions are the ones who keep making allegations of theft. He further added that the Congress party disrespects the Constitution and even questions the bravery of our armed forces. Responding to the opposition's claims of vote manipulation, Yadav strongly defended the Election Commission, calling it the jewel of our democracy, and condemned any attempts to malign its image. He also expressed his disappointment in the Congress party's behavior, stating that those who themselves have faced defeat in Parliament now dare to question the bravery of our army, which is a great insult to our nation.
