Ban on single-use plastic in Kushalnagar limits

Kushalnagar, Sep. 4: A decision has been taken to ban the production, sale, storage, distribution and use of all types of single-use plastic items less than 120 microns in size in the Kushalnagar municipality, informed Kushalnagar Municipality Chairperson Jayalakshmi. Speaking at a press conference at the town's municipal office, she said that it has been decided to strictly implement this rule from October 2. She appealed to everyone to join hands to make Kushalnagar town a clean town by giving up plastic.

Municipal Chief Officer T.S. Girish said that a circular has already been issued by the government regarding the ban on plastic in the local bodies and work will be done to create awareness among the public about this.
