Madikeri, Sep. 4: Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation has invited applications for loan facility under various schemes for the economic development of Scheduled Tribe leaders and people belonging to Marathi sub-caste.

50% of the unit cost or a maximum of Rs. 1.25 lakhs for two buffaloes/cows for dairy farming in collaboration with the bank. Applications are invited for subsidy of 75% of the unit cost or a maximum of Rs. 4 lakhs under the Swavalambita Sarathi (in collaboration with banks) scheme for goods vehicles / taxis (yellow board).
Entrepreneurship Development Scheme: Subsidy of 70% of the unit cost or a maximum of Rs. 2 lakhs for business and other purposes.
Under the Micro Credit Scheme for Registered Self-Help Women's Associations, loans and subsidy will be provided to women's self-help associations (minimum 10 members) for micro-economic activities.
Ganga Kalyan Yojana: Irrigation facilities will be provided to small and marginal farmers with land ranging from 1.20 acres to 5 acres by drilling borewells, installing pump sets and electrifying them. Unit cost Rs. 3.75 lakhs (including Rs. 50 thousand loan).
Land Ownership Scheme: Landless women agricultural workers will be provided with at least one acre of dry land or two acres of dry land. Unit cost Rs. 20 lakhs Subsidy 50%.
