Adele, who is a mother to 11-year-old son Angelo, shared with her Las Vegas audience that she was looking forward to having a drink again now that she was on a break from her residency. She said: ‘I'm just going to chill. I'm annoyed as well that I'm sick because this is red wine weather. I stopped drinking, but obviously now I'm ready to start again because it is my break.’

It was at the Grammys in February when the Easy On Me chart-topper revealed that she had been forced to cut out her favourite tipple of choice due to it compromising her voice. She joked that she was ’35 going on 85’, saying: ‘A glass of red wine tips me over the edge. I have the worst hangover, my whole mouth and tongue turns red. I look like a disaster and it just gets rid of my voice.’

Despite feeling ill, Adele was disappointed that she couldn't toast wrapping up the second leg of her Las Vegas residency with an expensive bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
