A woman was arrested for stealing from train passengers.

In Bhubaneswar, a group consisting of the Special Task Force, Crime Intelligence Branch, and Railway Protection Force successfully caught a woman who was suspected of committing thefts against railway passengers. This was all part of their ongoing mission, Operation Yatri Surakshya. The woman in question is Julli Byadh, a 21-year-old from Bardhaman district in West Bengal.

The joint team worked together and at around 8:30 in the morning, they were able to apprehend the suspect. The STF, CIB, and RPF carried out a coordinated operation that resulted in the woman's arrest. During the operation, they discovered a gold chain that had been stolen, weighing around 12 grams and valued at approximately Rs 1.20 lakh.

They also found Rs 5,000 in cash. In total, the recovered property is estimated to be worth Rs 1.25 lakh. After the arrest, the woman and the seized items were handed over to the Government Railway Police Station in Bhubaneswar for further legal action.

A case has been registered at GRPS Bhubaneswar under Section 303 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The Odisha Post, which is known as Odisha's No.1 English Daily, reported on this successful operation. The joint team's efforts have resulted in the apprehension of a suspect and the recovery of stolen items.
