In a small village called Baulpur, located in the Dhenkanal district, a young student in Class IX found himself in a critical condition after an encounter with a home guard on Saturday. The village falls under the jurisdiction of the Jharagadia police outpost, which is part of the Sadar police station. Two of his schoolmates, Bighna Mallik and Kupendra Mallik, also suffered injuries during the incident but were fortunately discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment. According to reports, Animesh had left the school premises to go to a nearby shop after finishing an exam. It was during this time that a 26-year-old home guard, named Manas Behera, allegedly attacked him with an iron rod and a digging bar, causing severe injuries.

The home guard also went as far as making death threats towards the young student. The police have taken action and opened investigations into the matter. Animesh sustained a fracture in his left hand, and the authorities are currently working to gather all the necessary information to uncover the truth.

The police have reassured the public that appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is complete. The safety and well-being of students are of utmost importance, and the authorities are working diligently to ensure justice is served.

May incidents like this be prevented in the future, and may young students like Animesh be able to focus on their studies without fear or harm.
