A father was shocked when a Just Eat delivery driver threw away his £45 KFC order.

A father was left outraged when he discovered that a delivery driver had carelessly thrown his family's £45 order into a nearby bin. The incident occurred on March 28th, when Rob Taylor had used Just Eat to order KFC for himself, his wife, and their three children at their home in Fleetwood, Lancashire. The shocking footage captured by their doorbell camera shows the driver nonchalantly taking the food out of his courier bag and tossing it into the household bin before walking away.

Mr. Taylor was taken aback when he saw the driver leaving his garden shortly after the delivery, as he had not heard any knocks on the door or received any phone calls. He did acknowledge that the driver may have attempted to contact him, but he did not hear or see anything.

"I looked out the window and saw my order in the bin," he said. "The driver told me he had put it there, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was just standing there, thinking, 'Did that really just happen?'" The dad-of-three was understandably upset and concerned about the hygiene of the food as it had been thrown away.

He decided that it was not fit for his family to eat and instead went out to buy them a McDonald's Happy Meal. Just Eat, however, stated that their delivery driver had made several attempts to contact Mr. Taylor, including seven phone calls and a message on the app.

They also mentioned that the driver had waited outside the family's home for over 20 minutes. According to a spokesperson for the platform, their couriers are instructed to leave food in a "safe place" if there is no response at the property. They believe that the rider in this case may have confused their policies with those of other courier firms.

Mr. Taylor admitted that he did see some missed calls, but he felt that the driver's actions were unjustified and "mental." Just Eat expressed their desire for all their customers to have a positive experience when ordering food online and assured that they have strict systems in place for a smooth order handover. They have been in touch with Mr.

Taylor to further discuss his experience. On the other hand, Mr. Taylor has expressed his disgust and disappointment, stating that he will not be using Just Eat again.
