And to make matters worse, her husband Will Taylor's ex-wife Rose has reappeared, trying to worm her way back into his life.
Rose even went to the extreme of spiking Will's drink in order to seduce him. But her plan backfired when their daughter Dawn ended up consuming the spiked drink and getting into a car accident. This only added more fuel to the fire for Ruby, who then orchestrated a scheme to get someone to pose as a drug dealer and demand money from Kim. And of course, all fingers pointed to the notorious super bitch of Emmerdale.
But here's the twist - it's actually Ruby who is manipulating Rose into setting up Kim. Ruby feels indebted to Kim after she helped her out of a financial bind. Things take a turn for the worse when the police deliver some troubling news to Caleb.
During tonight's episode, Kim confided in Lydia Dingle that she was at the cafe as an alibi for her "surprise" for Caleb. But what exactly is she planning? Later, the police call Caleb to inform him that his car business has burned to the ground. Shocked and devastated, he rushes to the scene and later tells Ruby that he's relieved he increased the insurance premium before their Bali trip.
But little does he know, a detective was present in the same room and overheard their conversation. And it seems like they may not be convinced of Caleb's innocence in the arson case. Ruby, on the other hand, is convinced that Kim is behind the whole incident. But Caleb remains skeptical.
