A 5-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after getting hit by a teenager riding an e-scooter.

A peaceful walk in the park turned into a terrifying incident for a young girl and her mother. As they strolled through Victoria Park in Widnes on a beautiful Easter Monday evening, the last thing they expected was to be involved in an accident. The five-year-old girl was struck by a teenager riding an e-scooter, causing her to be rushed to the hospital.

The incident occurred between 6:10pm and 6:20pm, leaving the girl with a serious leg injury. To make matters worse, the teen quickly fled the scene before any help could arrive. According to reports, the suspect is described as a white male, around 15 years old, with messy blond hair and a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt and tracksuit pants, while riding a black e-scooter. The local authorities at Cheshire Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with their investigation. It's truly unfortunate that a simple walk in the park turned into a traumatic experience for this young girl and her family.

We can only hope that she makes a full recovery and that the responsible party is brought to justice. In the meantime, let's all be mindful of our surroundings and prioritize safety for ourselves and those around us.
