3 Black women entrepreneurs receive $100K each from the Black Magic Reimagined Summit Awards.
The fifth annual Black Magic Reimagined Summit has come to a close and three Black female business owners have been awarded a total of $100,000 in funding. Hosted by Boss Women Media, the event was sponsored by Capital One and featured a pitch competition with a grand prize of $50,000.

The winner of the competition was Felicia Jackson, founder of CPR Wraps, who is also a certified medical professional. CPR Wraps is the first of its kind air tool maker and it was created to help those who find themselves in a cardiac emergency. Jackson expressed her gratitude for the support of her community on Instagram, saying that it was a reminder that "when we come together, we can achieve greatness."

Ehime Eigbe, the founder of Sweetkiwi, was awarded second place and $30,000. Eigbe was previously a contestant on Shark Tank and is known for creating her own unique frozen Greek yogurt dessert. She shared her mission with BLACK ENTERPRISE earlier this year, saying that she wants to “change the way consumers experience food by creating food products that are delicious, nutrient-dense, and support the body in absorbing nutrients with a commitment to advocating for safe, sustainable, and equitable food systems within the communities we operate in.”

The third place grant worth $20,000 went to Brittany Coleman, founder of Tough Cutie, a brand that produces premium quality merino wool hiking socks.

It was previously reported that the Black Magic Reimagined Summit would feature a pitch competition awarding three women-owned small businesses with grants. This year’s judges included Amber Williams, Mekina Raga, and Dana Fleming. After three years of being virtual, the event made its successful in-person return in Dallas on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

It is inspiring to see the support that is being given to Black female entrepreneurs. Congratulations to all of the awardees and we can’t wait to see what they create with their grants!
