Residents of Indore have recently faced difficulties in getting their driving licence cards due to wrong addresses given. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) staff reported that they have been able to provide an ample number of blank cards to the applicants.
However, they are facing an issue in delivering the cards to the applicants due to wrong addresses given by them. A staggering 20-30% of the cards sent through posts in the last 15 days have been returned due to wrong addresses. The RTO staff suspects that the applicants do not change their mailing address at the time of renewal, resulting in the cards getting delivered to their old address.
Regional Transport Officer Pradeep Sharma said that they have got an ample number of cards and are sending them through post as soon as possible. He added that the applicants need to come to the office to get their cards since there is no other way to deliver them.
The RTO staff has urged the applicants to double-check their mailing address before submitting an application. This will help them to receive their cards on time and without any hassle.
