WWE superstar emotionally overwhelmed by extreme moment in rising match.
Next up, WWE superstar Tiffany Stratton shared a personal and emotional moment from her career when she suffered her first major injury during a breakout match. The 25-year-old has been making waves in the wrestling world since joining WWE in the summer of 2021, and she has proven to be a rising star on NXT and SmackDown.

In an exclusive interview with The Agency, Stratton opened up about her memorable Extreme Rules match with Becky Lynch at NXT No Mercy just over a year ago. She recalled the intense moment when Lynch hit her on the head with a hard hat, causing her to bleed. "In the moment, I was like, 'Oh my God,' when she hit me on the head with her hard hat and busted me open," she shared. "That was like, 'Oh my gosh, I want to cry right now.'"

Stratton, who currently holds the Money In The Bank briefcase and has gained a strong following with fans chanting "Tiffy Time," admitted that she was trying to stay focused and present during the physically demanding match. Despite feeling nervous leading up to the event, working with a veteran like Lynch made things easier for her.

Reflecting on the big day, Stratton praised Lynch for her guidance and support. "Becky was amazing. She guided me through, I was very nervous that whole day, just because everything just happened so quick, and I wasn't ready," she shared. "And then those TVs, they go by so quick and you don't even realize it, and by the time it was over, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, that's it, that was so easy!'"

Being a professional wrestler is not an easy job, and Stratton has learned that first-hand. Despite the physicality and potential for injury, she has adjusted well to the brutal world of wrestling. "Nothing can really prepare you for getting busted open and hurt like that in the ring," she admitted. "But as wrestlers, we have to trust our instincts and rely on the adrenaline rush to get through it. Other than that, you just have to go out there and trust yourself."

At just 25 years old, Stratton has quickly risen through the ranks of WWE and has become a popular performer in front of a global audience. She has also adjusted to the fame and responsibility that comes with being in the spotlight at such a young age. "It's really cool," she said with a smile. "But I feel like there's a lot of responsibility that comes with it. So I'm trying to be responsible when I'm in public, and not be loud and obnoxious. But I can't say I'm not grateful for it!"

Stratton also has a strong support system in her fellow wrestlers, including her "road mom" and on-screen ally Nia Jax. Speaking about their partnership, she shared, "She's amazing. We both are very goofy, and I think we bring it out in each other even more. I, also, am like her personal stylist. I tell her what to wear, how to do her makeup, so we help each other!"

As she continues to develop as a performer in front of the world, Stratton is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow. She credits WWE Hall of Famer "Road Dogg" Brian James and the coaches at NXT for their guidance and support. "Before I got on TV, Road Dogg was hyping up my 'daddy's little rich girl' character," she shared. "He was like, 'Oh my God, that's awesome. We have to get you on TV.'"

While her star continues to shine on SmackDown, Stratton remains humble and focused on improving with each match. "I'm just doing my best and trying new things as we go," she said. "I'm seeing what works, what doesn't, what gets reactions. Other than that, I'm just doing what I know best, and that's just being myself, just a little bit turned up."

Fans can catch Stratton and all their favorite WWE superstars on SmackDown every Friday night at 1am on TNT Sports 1. And in 2024, WWE will be moving to Netflix. Don't miss WWE's return to The O2 in London on November 4!
