West Discom provides 10 MVA connection to Indore Metro for increased power supply.
Indore: On Tuesday afternoon, the Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company (West Discom) provided a 10 MVA power connection to the Indore Metro. To facilitate this connection, the company specially established a 17 km Panther line from Jaitpura's high-tension power grid on Ujjain Road to TCS Square.

West Discom managing director Amit Tomar spoke proudly of the intensive efforts the company has made to supply high-tension 33 KV power for the Metro through this new line. This was accomplished by installing 510 ampere Panther conductors on 17-metre-high monopoles at a cost of Rs 17 crore.

Tomar further explained that the power company's team energized the Metro's power command centre near the TCS Square as per the protocol on Tuesday afternoon. In the evening, West Discom director Puneet Dubey, senior officers Ravi Mishra, and Anil Negi inspected the electricity connection provided to the Metro and also saw the meter equipment.

The new Panther line is set to bring great benefits to the Indore Metro, as well as other companies and newly settled areas on Super Corridor, including TCS, Infosys, and Aurobindo University, who will now have uninterrupted power.

This comes on the same day as the Barkha Mahotsav in Bhopal, where women journalists walked the ramp in a celebration of their accomplishments and progress.
