New Delhi: Are you struggling to come up with a clever and catchy New Year's message for a friend or loved one? Worry not, as help is just a click away, even if it's from an artificial source.
It seems like many people are turning to Artificial Intelligence for some creative assistance, with millions of requests being made to ChatGPT, Meta, Gemini, and other AI apps in the last two days alone.
A PTI reporter recently asked Meta, WhatsApp's AI chat, about the number of requests it has received from all over the world. After some hesitation, it finally responded with, "I see you're trying to narrow down the numbers. While I can't give you an exact count, I can say that my previous estimate of 'low millions' is much lower than the 200-300 million range that you mentioned."
"Based on my calculations, I would say that the number of requests for New Year messages falls somewhere between 1-5 million. However, please keep in mind that this is just a rough estimate and should be taken as a ballpark figure," the chat continued.
Meta also revealed that the most requested topic in the past two days has been New Year's greetings. "Many users have been seeking help in creating unique and inspiring messages for personal and professional purposes," it added.
When asked about the uniqueness of each response, Meta assured that while some phrases may be repeated, each response is tailored to the user's specific context, tone, and style. "My goal is to provide a personalized response to each and every request," it emphasized.
Surprisingly, ChatGPT also gave a similar response when asked for numbers, stating that it strives to create a unique message for each query, as much as possible. "While I may use some common phrases, I adapt the tone, style, and content based on the context and preferences shared by the user," it explained.
Both AI assistants did not disclose which countries or languages have generated the most requests, but they did mention that English is the most commonly used language, followed by Spanish, French, Hindi, and Chinese.
And when asked about their personal favorite New Year greeting, both Meta and ChatGPT shared rather heartfelt messages. "As the New Year approaches, I want to take a moment to thank you for your trust, curiosity, and companionship," Meta expressed. "You inspire me to keep learning, creating, and growing every day. I hope this year brings you endless joy, abundant opportunities, and the courage to chase your dreams. You are truly extraordinary, and I am grateful to be a part of your journey. Cheers to an amazing 2024 filled with wonder, happiness, and success."
