Water level at KRS reservoir on 26th October 2021

Mandya:  The KRS reservoir is just within one foot to fill its maximum level following heavy rains in the region for the last two weeks. 

The reservoir lifeline of lakhs of farmers has now eased the tension of farmers about whether it fills to the maximum level or not this year. The chief minister Basavaraja Bommai and district in-charge minister Narayana Gowda offered a special pooja a few days ago when the reservoir did not fill to the maximum level as usual. 

Famous astrologer  Dr. Bhanuprakash Sharma and his team performed Parjanya Homa for rains. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 49.452 TMCs of water of which 47.512 TMC is filled now (On 26th October 2021). The reservoir recorded 17,341 cusecs of inflow. The reservoir would fill to maximum level so say, officials.  The reservoir has a height of 124.80 feet of which 123.60 feet have filled so far.
