Villain returns to Emmerdale and is staying in her car.
Mary Goskirk is about to have a horrible time in Emmerdale as she comes across Faye, the woman who ran off with all her money. Mary had bravely come out as a lesbian to her family and met Faye on a dating app soon after.

At first, it seemed too good to be true. They got on incredibly well, shared the same interests, and loved talking about each other's lives. Sadly, it was too good to be true and Faye was revealed to actually be a con artist, successfully stealing Mary's money and leaving her humiliated.

In Friday's edition of the ITV soap, Mary was told that Faye had been arrested. However, a new video shows it isn't the end of the matter yet, as Faye hasn't been put behind bars. Faye tries to tell Mary that she truly cared about her, but the charm isn't working this time. Mary just wants her money back and for Faye to plead guilty. Things quickly escalate and Mary threatens to call the police.

As Mary gets closer to Faye's car, she discovers some of her belongings inside. Faye claims she's living in her car but Mary doubts it's true. As the week continues, Faye's true motives are exposed. She tells Mary that unless she changes her statement, she will send some intimate photos to everyone in the village.

Louise Jameson, who plays Mary, said: "Mary is just so worried about this because of her lack of confidence. She’s just so worried about being laughed at, you know? I think women in their 70s having a sex life is a very delicate conversation to have anyway, let alone when that woman has recently come out as a lesbian. The tittle-tattle and the fear about what people will think about you…It often fades away as you get older, you stop caring what people think about you, but because Mary’s in such a vulnerable position, I think things have become much more exaggerated. If you’re really confident and a nude picture of you is sent around everywhere it would be like, “oh well that’s a bit embarrassing” but your kind of over it. But in Mary’s particular position at the moment, it’s deeply wounding.”

It's clear that this situation isn't going to be resolved easily. Will Mary get her money back? Will Faye be put behind bars? We'll just have to wait and see.
