UrbanGeekz partners w/ CultureBanx to create an editorial series highlighting members of the Black Innovation Alliance.
UrbanGeekz and CultureBanx are thrilled to be partnering up for an exciting media collaboration celebrating the amazing work of Black Innovation Alliance member organizations. This first-of-its-kind editorial series, aptly titled Black Innovation's Frontline, highlights the critical role these organizations play in building the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the United States.

Griselle Colon, COO of Black Innovation Alliance, is excited for the world to see what they are doing to drive entrepreneurship. She said: “Ecosystem building is a critical role that is very undervalued in the innovation space”.

With 116-member organizations supporting over 300,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, and creatives, the series has already covered several of the alliance's members. These organizations are providing vital support for Black founders, with initiatives such as funds, media content, accelerators, incubators, and grant programming.

The series is also giving readers a glimpse into the grassroots work taking place to support Black innovators. For example, in UrbanGeekz, FundBlackFounders CEO Renee King spoke about her decision to create an alternative funding option for those without wealthy, accredited relatives.

Twanna Harris from CultureBanx also touched on her brand's unique proposition. She said: “Tribal Good remains one of the very few focused exclusively on building the person as a brand, such as the next Issa Rae”.

Kori Hale, CEO of CultureBanx, expressed her view that the series is not only promoting economic change but also inspiring the next generation of innovators. She said: “Highlighting Black-led startups at the forefront of innovation isn’t just about diversity and inclusion; it’s about unlocking the untapped potential of a community that has historically faced barriers”.

Kunbi Tinuoye, founder and CEO of UrbanGeekz, is a big proponent of collaboration. She said: “We are thrilled to partner with BIA and CultureBanx to celebrate Black excellence”.

UrbanGeekz and CultureBanx are proud to be part of this incredible series that is highlighting the amazing work of Black Innovation Alliance members. This series is not only showcasing the impact these organizations are having on the entrepreneurial landscape in the US, but inspiring the next generation of innovators.
