Two clubs are equally ranked as having the top food in the state of NSW.
It's official - the battle for the best feed in NSW has ended in a tie! ClubsNSW has announced not one, but two winners for the prestigious title in their annual Perfect Plate Awards. Cabra-Vale Diggers and Mounties have both claimed the top spot with their mouth-watering dishes.

Cabra-Vale Diggers impressed the judges with their live lobster with salted egg yolk dish, while Mounties won hearts with their sweet and sour pork with lychee and green apple. ClubsNSW chief, Rebecca Riant, was thrilled with the results, noting that the diversity in cuisine options showcased the variety available at local pubs.

"It's amazing to see both a fancy lobster dish and a classic comfort food dish take the crown. It just goes to show that there truly is something for everyone at their local club," Riant said. "Whether you're in the mood for a gourmet meal prepared by a hatted chef or a nostalgic dish that brings back childhood memories, your local club has got you covered. And let's not forget the added bonus of live entertainment while you dine!"

In the medium club category, The Ary Toukley took home the coveted first place with their Queensland king prawn ravioli with saffron beurre blanc. The same club also claimed the title for best dessert with their decadent Belgium chocolate fondant served with creme anglaise, vanilla ice cream, and vanilla fairy floss.

Meanwhile, in the small club category, Currarong Bowling and Recreation Club stunned with their lamb backstrap and beets served with a delicious goats cheese jus. These winners were determined by a two-month public voting process, which saw an impressive 84,000 votes for 176 dishes from 151 clubs across the state.

It's clear that the competition was tough, and all the clubs should be proud of their delicious offerings. It just goes to show that when it comes to good food, size doesn't matter - it's all about the quality and taste. Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to ClubsNSW for recognizing and celebrating the best of the best in NSW.
