Gino D'Acampo has reportedly been involved in a horror crash that left 'blood everywhere' and halted filming for an ITV show with Fred Sirieix.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, 47, was reportedly filming in Vienna for a new travel show - however, the accident that followed left a sour taste, making it 'the worst shoot of my life'.
The crash occurred on October 18 when a toboggan stunt went wrong. Gino had been sliding down 200ft on a toboggan, holding a cocktail glass. A source said there was 'blood everywhere' when a mother and her two kids crashed into the stuntman.
The source added that the mother and her child had concussion and Gino was treated on-site after an ambulance was called. Understandably, the shoot was immediately halted and those involved offered counselling in the aftermath.
Gino was later bedridden with his temperature 'shooting up to 40.3 degrees' and was prescribed antibiotics when doctors were called.
The star also hit out at ITV for not checking up on him afterwards, saying: ‘After 22 years of working with them, I am in an accident and I get ill, and yet I don’t get a phone call; I smell a fish. I think ITV have no idea what happened.’
Gino and Fred Sirieix had been filming Emission Impossible, a new show which saw the duo attempting to travel sustainably and realise the cost to the planet of the things they love. The show was set to be an action-packed adventure with plenty of sustainable dishes and debate around important environmental issues.
However, Gino previously revealed he would not be returning to Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, which began in 2018, due to scheduling conflicts. He stated that the friendship with Fred and Gordon was still strong, but they could not get the dates together.
