Other subplots include Bridget and the Bergen King Gristle's nuptials, and how Troll Princess Poppy, who is Branch’s love interest and a part of the rescue mission, discovers her long lost sister Viva.
The film is an endless series of songs, both old and new, that make it a pulsating musical fare. Each character is well-etched and the voices of the talented star cast aptly match the characters. Special mention goes to Kenan Thompson as the wisecracking infant Tiny Diamond. Directed astutely, the film is a riot of colours with its colourful, fluorescent, candyfloss-like hair Trolls contrasted by the ugliness of the Bergens.
Loaded with so many groan-worthy punning jokes and one-lines referencing musical bands from the 90s and earlier, this film is sure to make both kids and their parents smile!
