We all know that summer plans are not always easy to make. But if you’re planning on staying closer to home, you can take advantage of Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Tripadvisor has recently released a list of the must-visit experiences in the UK. They based the list off of 12 months of review data and have created 10 overall experiences, as well as 10 subcategories which include food, nature, cruises and more.
And it’s great news for amusement and water park fans as the UK ranks highly in these categories. Blackpool Pleasure Beach was named one of the best in the world, climbing six places from last year to reach number 8. The Milky Way Adventure Park in Clovelly, Devon, came in tenth position, followed by Alton Towers Resort and Drayton Manor Theme Park at 10th and 12th, respectively.
Historical Pub Walking Tour of London takes first place overall, with High-Speed Thames River Cruise in second and The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh in third. Other highlights in the UK include Tour for Muggles, Famous Black Taxi Tours Belfast, Celtic Park Stadium Tour, Oxford University Walking Tour With University Alumni Guide, The Jack The Ripper Walking Tour, West End Musicals Silent Disco Walking Tour and Gander Walking Tours in Glasgow.
Tripadvisor’s new Summer Travel Index also provides insight into the best attractions to check out this summer. If you’re travelling to Edinburgh, make sure you pay a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia as it was named the top UK attraction. The National Gallery and the Tower of London came in second and third, respectively. The British Museum, Edinburgh Castle, Tower Bridge and The Real Mary King’s Close also made the top 10.
So if you’re looking for something to do this summer, it’s time to get booking. Check out Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards and Summer Travel Index for more ideas. Have an amazing time!
