Mhow: A five-day training on women empowerment through dairy farming was conducted at the College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Mhow from September 13 to 17. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dean Dr BP Shukla who commented that women are playing an active role in every field in present times.
Nodal officer Dr Deepak Gangil informed that the university had received a total of 10 such trainings. A total of 30 women participated in the same and were taken for a visit to the college's dairy farm, laboratories, and hospital. The women were trained on topics such as feeding, maintenance, health, vaccination, and milk products of dairy animals.
The training was conducted by Dr Rakhi Gangil and was supervised by Indore District Development Manager of NABARD, Nagesh Chaurasia and Rajesh of Sanchi Milk Union. Dr Hemant Mehta also addressed the women. The training concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Jitendra Yadav.
