The SDPO revealed that the miscreants made away with Rs 10 lakh in cash, which was collected from the hostel and other places and kept inside the church. He also mentioned that the attackers were armed with lathis and iron rods and there were around 10-12 of them.

Father Xalxo, one of the victims, narrated the horrific incident, stating that they were sound asleep when the miscreants barged into the church after breaking through the grill door. Father Bilung, the other injured priest, added that there were around 10-12 attackers who tied them up and injured them when they tried to raise an alarm. The miscreants then proceeded to loot the money that was collected from the hostel and school.

The police are currently investigating the matter and have promised to bring the culprits to justice. This shocking incident has left the community in a state of fear and disbelief. The priests, who have dedicated their lives to serving the people, have now become victims of such a heinous crime.
