The second celebrity contestant eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024 has been announced.
In the latest episode of the beloved BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing 2024, we have seen another celebrity bite the dust after an exhilarating movie week. The 20th anniversary series is in full swing, and the second results show of the year has left one more celebrity and their professional partner out of the competition.

Saturday's show was full of amazing performances, with Dr. Punam Krishan making history by performing a Bollywood dance for the first time on Strictly. Love Island star Tasha Ghouri wowed the judges and topped the leaderboard with an impressive 34 points. Sarah Hadland paid tribute to Dame Maggie Smith with a Harry Potter-themed dance, while Chris McCausland continued to amaze viewers. Unfortunately, DIY SOS star Nick Knowles had to sit out this week due to an injury.

Last weekend, we saw Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova become the first pair to be eliminated from the series. And now, we have witnessed the second couple leave the competition.

So, who left Strictly Come Dancing this week? It was none other than Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones. They were eliminated after a dance off against Paul Merson and Karen Hauer, with both couples performing their movie week dances again.

Toyah, 66, and Neil performed a Samba to "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid, while Paul, 56, and Karen danced a Cha Cha to "The Magnificent Seven" from The Magnificent Seven. After both couples performed for a second time, the judges had to make a tough decision. In the end, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas all chose to save Paul and Karen.

When asked about their experience on the show by host Tess Daly, Toyah said, "It's been the best two months of my life, it has been fantastic. I have enjoyed every second. And you have been phenomenal, thank you so much." Neil added, "She has made me laugh so much, I have never seen someone work so hard – I'm the one asking for breaks every now and then! She just kept going, she wanted to learn so much. If you saw her in the hallway she's been practicing. Everyone's been telling me, 'Have you seen Toyah practicing? She's brilliant.' She's what Strictly is all about, and I've loved every moment."

This was Toyah and Neil's second time in the bottom two, as they were also in the dance off last week against Tom and Nadiya. But the judges chose to save them then.

After the first results show, Neil shared some pictures of his Jive routine with Toyah on Instagram, saying, "Ladies and Gentlemen when you ask me how my Saturday night went. It's been the best two months of my life, it has been fantastic. I just want to say it's week 2 @toyahofficial is not a dancer but every day she's improving, each day I tell Toyah, it might not be perfect but you are improving and at the same time you are not losing who you really are and that is what @bbcstrictly is all about. You bring so much joy in our lives and I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to teach and guide you so we can both entertain."

Next week, the remaining 13 couples will return to the dancefloor, hoping to get one step closer to winning the glitterball trophy. Don't miss the next episode of Strictly Come Dancing, airing on Saturday at 6.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the results show on Sunday at 7.20pm.
