The Governor of Andhra Pradesh has asked Chandrababu Naidu to become the new government leader.
On Tuesday, the honorable Governor of Andhra Pradesh, S Abdul Nazeer, extended an invitation to NDA leader, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, to take charge as the Chief Minister and form the government. This decision came after a delegation of NDA partners met with the Governor and asserted their claim to form the government.

The delegation, consisting of Telugu Desam Party State President K Atchannaidu, BJP State President D. Purandeswari, and Jana Sena Party's political affairs committee chairman N Manohar, visited the Raj Bhavan to inform the Governor of their unanimous decision to elect Chandrababu Naidu as their leader. They presented a copy of the resolution passed at the meeting of newly-elected legislators of the NDA, where they unanimously chose Naidu as their leader.

Following this, the Governor formally invited Chandrababu Naidu to take charge as the Chief Minister and form the government. Earlier, in a meeting of the newly-elected MLAs of NDA, Naidu was unanimously elected as the leader of the alliance. This decision was backed by Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan, BJP State President D. Purandeswari, and TDP State President K Atchannaidu, along with all the MLAs of TDP, Jana Sena and BJP.

Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the Chief Minister on Wednesday, in a ceremony to be held at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada. The Governor will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Naidu in the presence of several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and various Union ministers, as well as chief ministers of other states.

The TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance achieved a remarkable victory in the recent elections, winning a staggering 164 seats out of 175 in the Assembly and 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats. The TDP alone secured 135 Assembly seats, while the BJP candidates emerged victorious in eight constituencies. In contrast, the YSR Congress Party, which had 151 seats in the previous House, could only manage to win 11 seats.
