Migrating to August, the Edinburgh Art Festival will be the largest visual arts event in the UK, running from 11-27 August. IMAGETAGGOESHERE The newly-appointed Festival Director Kim McAleese has promised to bring a new vision and purpose to the event. She stated: “We want to discover alternate ways to resist and create a connection between the city, its people, and the international community. We can achieve this by cooperating and amplifying the works of those who share our values.” IMAGETAGGOESHERE Gemma Cairney, a broadcaster, will be the Chair of the festival's Board, and Beth Bate, Director of Dundee Contemporary Arts, will be the Vice-Chair.
