Tragically, a 19-year-old man has died following a car crash in Rochdale. The incident happened yesterday evening on Spotland Road, when the car the man was a passenger in attempted to overtake a slower moving vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver veered off the road and crashed into a building.
Emergency services were called to the scene and all three people in the car were rushed to hospital for treatment. Despite the best efforts of paramedics and doctors, the young man passed away in the early hours of this morning.
The Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are asking anyone who may have seen the incident, or may have dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage from the area at the time of the incident to share it with officers to assist their enquiries.
