Teachers should instill scientific attitude in children - BEO KrishnaKudige, Sep. 1: Somwarpet Taluk Area Education Officer M. Krishnappa called for teachers to instill scientific attitude in children and develop scientific research inclination in them.
He was speaking while inaugurating a taluk-level science seminar and science drama competition program organized for high school students of the taluk at Kudige Angela Vidyaniketan School in collaboration with the School Education Department, Somwarpet Taluk Area Education Officer's Office and Area Resource Center.
Science seminars are helpful in instilling scientific exploration and analytical attitude in students. BEO Krishnappa advised that one should gain more knowledge about new discoveries in science by studying books related to science and the biographies, ideologies and scientific achievements of scientists.
Headmaster of Kudumangaluru Government High School T.G. Premkumar said that students will find scientific solutions to the problems around them through the science conference, which will enable them to develop scientific thinking through creativity and active activities.
A.S. Srisha, a student of Kodagarahalli Suntikoppanadu High School, who represented Karnataka from Kodagu district in the 31st National Children's Science Conference, conducted a survey on the topic "Let's protect Cauvery from the polluted life" and presented a scientific paper, which has brought pride to the district.
