On the occasion of the Akhil Bhartiya Sanja Lokotsav, held at the Government Girls Post-Graduate College, senior litterateur Dr Shiv Chaurasia expressed the value of Sanja paintings. This folk art, he stated, teaches us to live a balanced life and love nature.

The voluntary director of the event, Dr Pallavi Kishan, initiated the fourth day of the Sanja Lokotsav with a discussion on the social significance of Sanja figures. In attendance were renowned personalities such as Krishna Verma, who was honoured with Shikhar Samman and Devi Ahilya Samman by the Madhya Pradesh Culture Ministry, Principal Hemant Gehlot, Dr Pushpa Chaurasia, Dr Archana Parmar, Kumar Kishan, Dr Dinesh Chandra Khandelwal, Dr Vikrant Shah, and Dr Sonali Toke.

To give a hands-on experience to the girl students, trainers Hemlata Gupta, Neeta Agrawal, Babita Mittal, Shubham Singh, and Anjali Samadhiya provided training in making Mandana and Sanja figures. The painting department of GDC honored the trainers at the end of the session. The event was conducted by Dr Ranjana Wankhede, head of the painting department.
