Erica Conerly, a certified trichologist, has been providing solutions to those experiencing hair loss since July. The Telegraph reported that the former Walgreens beauty advisor is a trained cosmetologist specializing in hair loss. She opened the doors to her beauty store, Culture of Beauty, to celebrate her important milestone in her career.
Culture of Beauty is an offshoot of her Mane Allure Salon, where she can express her love for styling hair. Conerly stated, "I've always wanted a business where I could be helping people more than just styling hair. I love styling hair and being creative, but I'm most passionate about helping those who suffer from hair loss."
To provide a more holistic approach, Conerly explored trichology. She noted, "There are a lot of women who suffer from hair loss. When they come in, they're crying because they don't know what else to do." Culture of Beauty offers specialized expertise on different products and hairstyles that fit the individual needs of each client. Not only does Conerly create custom wigs, but she also specializes in creating hairstyles for those who don't want a wig. Her clients include both military personnel and cancer patients. She stated, "I've dealt with cancer patients who have lost their hair. It's an emotional roller coaster."
The beauty store offers customers a private room to process their emotions as they move towards finding a solution. Conerly is already working on expanding her business and wants to bring more awareness to the community about hair loss. She said, "You don't have to suffer." Under Conerly's leadership, the store is operated by a four-employee team who are learning the ropes. She was certified by the National Trichology Training Institute in Atlanta and there will be a grand opening for Culture of Beauty this Saturday.
