Virajpet, Aug. 13: Jagadguru Dr. Sri Basava Machideva Mahaswamy arrived in Kodagu district for the first time as part of an innovative program called Machideva from house to house during the month of Shravan.He participated in a program organized by the Veera Madiwala Sangha of Virajpet at the Angala Parameshwari Temple on Telugara Street in Virajpet. Swamiji visited the district as part of this program that started from Ramanagara on July 27.
Women of the Veera Madiwala community welcomed Swamiji with a full kumbh reception. Later, the Swamiji, who paid floral tributes to the portrait of Madiwala Machideva, lit a lamp, inaugurated the program and blessed the community.The next generation should be safe. He said that we should be economically and educationally, we should become a community free from vices, and we should have the intention to protect our family
He advised to take loan facilities under the Machideva Development Department of the state government and the Vishwa Karma Yojana of the central government and use them.
Our program is held in all 31 districts of the state, every year on January 5 and 6, a Kayak Janotsava program is held at our Math in Chitradurga, and all members of the community are asked to come.
Rajesh Padmanabha, President of Veer Madiwala Sangha of Virajpet Taluk, who presided over the program and gave an introductory speech, said that there is a Math in our community too. The members of our community did not know who the Math President is and where it is, and the members of our community need a community hall. This has been brought to the attention of Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna. He said that if the land is purchased on its own, the government will provide a grant for the construction of the building.
On this occasion, the chairman of the campaign committee, M.K. Ravikumar, the secretary of the association, Mahadeva, and members of the management board were present.
