The Hon. Prime Minister has released status of Tigers in India, today, on Global Tiger Day, 29th July. The total number today is 2,967, which is more than 70% of the wild tigers that inhabit the world.
The tiger estimation previous results:
2006: 1411,
2010: 1706, 5.22 % growth
2014: 2226, 7.62 % growth
2018 : 2967. 8.32 % growth.
Average rate of growth @ 6% per year and in last four years, the growth is @ 8.32%.
