Napoklu, Nov. 7: The second-year state-level coconut shooting competition was held in collaboration with the Avandoor Gopalakrishna Yuva Sangha and villagers.

The program organized at the Made Panchayat playground near Urambala in Avandoor village was inaugurated by retired headmaster Kedambadi S. Puttaiah.

The program was presided over by Gopalakrishna Yuva Sangha president Devaira Kirtan. Former Assembly Speaker and former MLA K.G. Bopaiah participated as the chief guest and spoke and said that it is commendable that a state-level coconut shooting program has been organized in a small village called Avandoor. He said that such a program should be organized in every village. He said that it is a matter of pride to honor the soldiers who have served the country.

Kodagu District Congress President and Guarantee Implementation Committee President Dharmaja Uthappa participated as a guest and spoke, saying that the rifle is an integral part of the people of Kodagu, and it is used in both birth and death, and it is our duty to preserve the rifle, and he wished all the best for the program.

Former President of Arebhashe Sanskriti and Sahitya Academy Kolya Girish, members of Avandoor Grama Panchayat Urolana Tejkumar, Devaira Mohini Raghavaiah and donors were present on the stage.

On behalf of the youth association and the villagers, dignitaries honored and honored the soldiers who had served in the army and retired. On this occasion, dignitaries distributed prizes to the winners who participated in the competition.

Competitions were held in three categories: .22 rifle shooting, 12th bore garden rifle, and air gun shooting. Skilled competitors participated on this occasion.
