And speaking of that game, No. 5 Green Mountain came out on top with a 35-20 victory over No. 13 Severance. This win marks their third straight trip to the 3A semifinals, and it's all thanks to new head coach Anthony Rankin, who took over after Jesse German left for Eaglecrest. Green Mountain dominated from the start with an impressive first quarter, scoring 21 points. They continued their momentum in the third quarter with two passing touchdowns, securing their spot in the semifinals. Unfortunately, Severance fell just short of their second state semifinal bid in four years. Green Mountain will now face the winner of the Discovery Canyon-Thompson Valley game next week.
