Secret Deodorant is encouraging women to reach their financial goals by launching an initiative to help them gain financial wellbeing.

In advance of Financial Literacy Month in April, Secret Deodorant is introducing a long-term financial empowerment effort which will offer 1 million young women access to comprehensive financial courses and resources, designed and directed by renowned female monetary specialists. This campaign was presented yesterday at the New York Stock Exchange during the 'Young Women's Financial Wellness Forum,' in association with Seneca Women, a female leadership platform that strives to further women in the global economy. The initiative aims to support young ladies at the beginning of their independent financial journeys, providing them with the essential tools needed to succeed and enhance their financial wellbeing.

As per the American Psychological Association, Gen Z adults in the U.S. report the highest level of stress compared to any other generation, with the main factor being money. Financial stress affects women, particularly women of color, more drastically, with black and Hispanic women typically having greater unmet financial needs, more student loan debt, and being more likely to face financial difficulty while studying.3 To tackle this issue and help young women achieve financial prosperity, Secret plans to empower millions of women by 2030.

"As a part of Secret's continued commitment to elevating women, we desire to jumpstart a dialogue about financial well-being and provide tools for financial literacy and education," said Kate DiCarlo, Senior Communications Director, Personal Care Portfolio, Procter & Gamble. "Secret is privileged to partner with a diverse set of women to bring their financial knowledge to this initiative."
Secret has assembled a board of renowned multicultural financial experts to aid its mission of broadening access to financial education, demonstrating that a financially healthy life is achievable for all women. The financial experts launched the initiative at Seneca Women's 'Young Women's Financial Wellness Forum' in collaboration with Secret, supplying practical and tangible advice tailored to the needs and concerns of Gen Z females.

Secret's coalition of financial experts includes Berna Anat, a financial educator and author of "Money Out Loud  - All the Financial Stuff No One Taught Us," who is helping BIPOC and first-gen folks feel represented in the money world, and Carmen Perez, creator of MUCH budgeting app, aiding individuals with managing their money and paychecks.

In anticipation of Financial Literacy Month in April, Secret Deodorant has introduced a multi-year financial empowerment program that will make it possible for 1 million young women to gain access to educational courses and tools developed and guided by esteemed female financial professionals. Yesterday, the initiative was launched at the New York Stock Exchange during the 'Young Women's Financial Wellness Forum' in collaboration with Seneca Women, an organization that works to advance the position of women in business and around the world. This program is intended to provide young women with the essential resources they require to succeed now and in the future, thus enhancing their financial well-being.

As reported by the American Psychological Association, Gen Z adults in the United States experience the highest level of stress out of any generation, with money being the greatest source of anxiety. Women, especially those of color, are disproportionately more likely to have unmet financial needs, student loan debt, and financial struggles while in school. This inequality can have an adverse effect on women's financial journeys. In order to combat this disparity and help women achieve financial security, Secret has committed to empowering millions of young women with the knowledge to overcome financial stress by 2030.

Kate DiCarlo, Senior Communications Director of Procter & Gamble, commented: "As part of Secret's ongoing efforts to uplift women, we wish to motivate discourse about financial health and provide them with the means to become financially literate." To this end, the company has recruited a board of distinguished multicultural financial experts to promote access to financial education, demonstrating that financial wellness is attainable for all women. These experts presented advice applicable to the needs and worries of Gen Z women at the 'Young Women's Financial Wellness Forum' hosted by Secret and Seneca Women.

The financial specialists assembled by Secret include Berna Anat, a financial educator and author of “Money Out Loud – All the Financial Stuff No One Taught Us”, and Carmen Perez, the creator of the MUCH budgeting app which assists individuals in managing their money and paychecks.
